Join The Reading League’s 2nd Annual Conference to be held on Tuesday, October 30 with pre-conference professional development workshops on Monday, October 29 in the late afternoon/evening. This conference is for anyone who wants to learn more about highly-effective, research-based reading instruction: classroom teachers, administrators, reading specialists, ENL teachers, those in special education, parents, researchers and any others. The conference will be held at the historic Marriott Downtown Syracuse, the former Hotel Syracuse – recently renovated into a premiere hotel and conference center. Following Tuesday’s conference, you are invited to attend a Reading Reception with colleagues, members of The Reading League, and conference presenters in the Marriott’s 10 th floor Empire Small Ballroom—special company in a special location!

KEYNOTE Speaker: Dr. Louisa Moats
Dr. Louisa Moats has dedicated much of her work to empowering educators with the knowledge to teach reading effectively. She authored the LETRS professional development series and multiple books and papers such as Speech to Print: Language Essentials for Teachers, Straight Talk about Reading, and Basic Facts about Dyslexia. Dr. Moats has served as Vice President of the International Dyslexia Association and editor of Scientific Studies of Reading and Annals of Dyslexia.
